it's the self-righteous that are in denial.
humans are selfish creatures. it's absolutely disgusting how "gormless and so wrapped up in their own silly little lives" people can be. and i quote roald dahl just because he put it so nicely, it's stuck it my head every time i think about how people are just selfishly wrapped up in their own lives. and don't even realise it.
it's sad to know. but more often than not, it's maddening. we are often selfish by nature, expecting many things of the people around us, but do we ever ask ourselves, do we pander to the same needs of others? chances are, the answer is no.
the lethargy, the weight on the shoulders and eyes are simply too much to bear. it's strange how we live in such an instant world, we expect things at the snap of the finger, yet when we are asked to produce the same standards, we complain of the lack of time and how nothing is truly instant and how effort takes time.
i'm a gazillion steps away from perfect and this eats at me right down to the bone. Christ must have loved us so, to accept the repulsive selfish ignorance of creatures like us.
so go ahead, judge me.
i wish you'd know i'm no magician.
