the weekend's been particularly enjoyable with Screwtape Letters and Marley&Me topping the list.
screwtape was really one superb production and it truly wow-ed me. the actors were just overflowing with talent, with the script adaptation done so wonderfully it captured attention perfectly. the Christian satire captured all attention, bringing across the reality of it so plainly in a humorous way, albeit the fact that the the old british accent did make it hard to understand at times, you'd kinda get used to it once your brain 'tunes' to it. afterall we live in an age whereby media has pervaded across all global boundaries that we're exposed to accents of every kind.
while cyclical languor is perpetually getting the better of me, i'd say that this being our final lap which would direct us onto our paths of the future, is truly one that's arduous and challenging. being a happy mugger is not something i'd look forward too. but yet as many ppl have often reiterated - the road ahead is fraught with challenges and you've just gotta overcome it if you want to see the sun rise again another day.

On the Side of Me
(Corrinne May)
I'm not the easiest person to love
I'm often the one who lets things go unresolved
Yet you choose to be
On the side of me
On the side of me
Yet you choose to be on the side of me
On the side of me
I'm not too proud of some things
I've done in my life
The skeletons in my closet
Are too big for me to hide
Yet you choose to be
On the side of me
On the side of me
Blessed Charity
You're on the side of me
On the side of me
Everyone needs a friend to hold
When it's cold outside
And there's no place to go
Everyone needs a friend to hold
All alone I cried
There was no place to go
I remember when nobody cared
But you
I'm not the easiest person to love
But you, you've opened your heart to show me what I'm worth
'Cause you choose to be
On the side of me
On the side of me
What a mystery
You're on the side of me
On the side of me
Everyone needs a friend to hold
When it's cold outside
And there's no place to go
Everyone needs a friend to hold
All alone I cried
There was no place to go
I remember when nobody cared
Nobody cared
But you...
and i'm sad to say you seem to have transited from a friend to but a mere acquaintance. i wonder what happened to those good days...
this song holds so much meaning about friendship. how true friends will be by our side and with that cliche saying, leave footprints in your heart. if only i could turn time back, i'd treasure those times we had so much more. a lightyear pasts before we meet, but yet as much as we've grown to differ, somehow those ties forged are tightened each and every time.

awed and humbled to be loved by a God so high.
