you don't know madness till it kicks you in the shin.
you don't know insanity till it pokes you in the eye.
you don't know lunacy till it grabs you by the hair.
you don't know psychosis till you meet it face to face.
it's only then that you embrace sanity for all its worth.
how can anything change so drastically?
how can derangement be anymore personified?
how can violence be so natural?
how can the worst be worse than worst?
the pieces in this puzzle are jumbled, tattered and smeared,
even if you piece it together, you're never going to get a perfect picture.
it'll be a picture of a hurricane carrying dysfunction,
tearing apart the murky remnants of love.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
(Isaiah 41:10)

to extricate from the dismal depths of neurosis.
