creation at its best.

it's been a week since, and i'm just torn between the best of both worlds. it's so beautiful here and the weather's just awesome. people here are so hospitable and friendly too. but i feel so distant from home. everyone back home seems to be getting a job and i wish i could get things going too. i wish i could be there to support close friends, to work alongside people and just spend sunny days out there. but homesickness aside, my stay here has been beyond words.

the transit at Tokyo was eye-opening and though i never had a Japan fettish, it was a good experience. Thank God customs was smooth and i think we got the coolest, friendliest officer there. San Francisco isn't as glam as postcards and internet portrayed but it sure is a fine city. Golden Gate bridge, Pier 39 aka Fisherman's Wharf and Lombard Street, the most crooked street, were by far the best sights. Elk Grove was great and all the food we had were absolutely scrumptious, explaining the size of an average American and the very reason why we're gonna go back heavier. it's amazingly heartwarming how hospitable people here can be. after all the transit flights, i kinda have a tinge of phobia of planes.. but there're several more to come.

talking about snow, it's so unreal and more often than not, we just dream of the lands so far away. but here in Billings, snow greeted us upon our arrival. the Prichards were such welcoming hosts. it was great to have Fred show us around KOA cos the camping associations back home are so limited. Butte was the most beautiful place and if i had the chance, i would live there one day. or perhaps have a long visit there to drink in the scenery and enjoy the weather. walking out in the cold all alone with the morning sun and browned greenery as company was the ideal time of reflection and to stand in awe of creation. but the highlight of Montana has been the cabin up on 400 Ranch, Red Lodge off Beartooth Mountain. it was like a dream come true to sit in the cabin and watch the snow fall outside and go outside to prance outside with snowflakes falling on your head.

i'm back in Billings, and it's still snowing... i'd hate to leave this pretty sight.
