funny how encouraging others reinforces everything you've been blessed with, making you appreciate everything so much more. it's a win-win situation, both parties leave feeling really great. but deep down inside you know you're doubly blessed, because you've had a chance to bless someone and a chance in your hands to spread this blessing further - by appreciating those around you.. guess that's what paying it forward means.
i've learnt that your most genuine smile that leaves you warm and fuzzy inside, is not when someone does you a favour, but when you make someone else smile and you smile back in return.
downsides may last for a short while, some drag on, others seem like eternity. the keyword being seem. the truth is, you can't ever be down in the dumps forever. either you slowly crawl up yourself (sometimes you get shoved back down again, but you do eventually come up) or a kind soul lends you a hand to get you back on your feet. it may take a shower of tears to let loose, but one thing's for sure, you'll carry on with a brighter outlook. what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. and though you so wished that it killed you at that point of time, that chance to make a difference with a renewed hope just glimmers in front of you.. and you're glad you hung on and pulled through and you continue your baby steps, to follow that beacon of hope.
"You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of.
You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life."
- Albert Camus
cos the hands that hold the world
are holding your heart
and you will be safe in His arms
