“You can't stay in your corner of the forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.” - guilty as charged. i'm learning, slowly but surely, venturing a little further from this shell of mine with each attempt, and finding great joy in that.
“A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey left inside.” - life without friends, is tasteless and bland. they are natural sweeteners.
"If the person you are talking to does not appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in this ear." - patience is a virtue. impatience does you no good, except raising your blood pressure and increasing anxiety. why not accept the fact that deaf ears are packed with fluff.. eases forgiveness and also gives you a good giggle to lower the heat of your boiling blood.
“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.” - rush rush rush. time time time. that's all we're on about these days. but the most beautiful things in life, take a lifetime to be formed - think dazzling diamonds, pretty weathered rocks (sorry, failed alliteration for this), towering trees, and majestic mountains.
“Sometimes the smallest things take the most room in your heart.” - it's those little gestures that melt your heart. and like a melting blob of icecream, takes up a greater area than the initial impact. very often, the little things in life do matter.
a little consideration,
a little thought for others,
makes all the difference.
